Extending Electricity to the Center

Bringing Electricity to Kitumba Prayer Center

Connecting the prayer center to reliable electricity to support worship services, evening prayer meetings, and ministry activities.

Kitumba Prayer Center is located approximately two to three kilometers from the main Fort Portal–Kasese Road in western Uganda. Although God has blessed us with this property to establish a place of prayer, worship, and discipleship, the center currently has no access to electricity.

After conducting a survey with the local electricity provider, we learned that electricity can only be extended to the Prayer Center by installing an additional 8 to 10 electricity poles from the nearest power supply point. The cost of supplying and installing each complete pole is US$850.

Access to electricity will make a tremendous difference in the ministry and in the surrounding community. It will enable us to hold evening prayer meetings, Bible studies, leadership training, and youth programs in a safe and well-lit environment. It will also allow us to operate the planned computer lab and future Internet Café, giving children, youth, and adults opportunities to study the Word of God, gain computer skills, and access educational resources.

Beyond serving the ministry, extending electricity to the Prayer Center will also benefit families living in the surrounding area. Access to power can improve education, increase safety, encourage small businesses, and create new opportunities for community development.

We are calling upon the Body of Christ around the world to partner with us in accomplishing this mission. Whether you choose to sponsor one electricity pole, contribute toward several poles, or give any amount, your generosity will help bring light—both physically and spiritually—to this community. Support the work of the Lord by helping us bring electricity to Kitumba Prayer Center. Together, we can advance God's Kingdom in hard-to-reach communities and create lasting hope for generations to come.
